Because of you

As a charity we support 620,000 patients and their families and 7,600 nurses, doctors, health care assistants, estate workers and support teams. We have been able to support items above and beyond NHS provision, and supported with volunteers who make a real difference on our wards and in our departments.

Because of you we can make the difference together, to patients’ lives both now and in the future.

In 2022 we received £29,000 worth of gifts given to the hospital which supported patients at Easter and Christmas, and with staff wellbeing. We also received £1,529,000 in monetary donations from individual donations, events, collection tins and so much more which have supported the creation of the Children’s Critical Care Room in the Children’s Ward, they supported the purchase of a specialised chair in X-Ray to help patients with x-rays of the head and neck, purchase I-pods and speakers for our Neonatal Care Babies and so much more!

Volunteers gave 1000’s of hours’ worth of volunteering on wards like the care of the elderly, way finding on main reception, blossom volunteers being with patients at end of life, volunteering in our charity hub and on our shop trolley. These people are truly special and make that difference too!

Christmas

We received a whopping 3000 gifts for our Give a Gift Appeal, every patient on Christmas Day received one of these gifts.

Light up a Life raised £2,504.71 for our Neonatal Intensive Care Parents Accommodation and Special Care Baby Unit, Thanks to you we can keep our accommodation free for parents.
