Acute Gynaecology Unit (Maternity Services)

The Acute Gynaecology Unit (AGU) provides a clinician lead service for women with emergency gynaecological problems. Our clinics are run by teams of doctors, nurses and a Lead Consultant Gynaecologist.

Our other Maternity Services are:

Clinics

The emergency sessions are open every weekday PM.

Appointments can be booked via A&E or GP referrals on the day by phoning the Early Pregnancy number.

The system runs on a first come first served basis and priority will be given to those who are unwell.

The clinics are often busy and long waits are sometimes inevitable. If the clinic is exceptionally busy we may need to close to further patients.
