A partnership between the L&D, Luton Borough Council’s New Horizons Service and Luton Adult Learning has won an award.
The winning project Apprentice Steps supports adults with learning disabilities through a work skills programme of accredited learning and work placements and hopefully leads to paid work in the local area.
The success of the project has scooped the Adult Learners’ Week‘Learning through Partnership’ award. The awards were presented by Helen Nellis, HM Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire and Jon Billington, Director of Transforming Local Infrastructure at a ceremony held in Shuttleworth College.
The L&D looks forward to welcoming the new Apprentice Steps recruits who will be working here and hope that their placements with us will provide a valuable opportunity to raise confidence, gain experience and learn new skills.
