International Clinical Trials Day will be held on Friday 20th May. The day provides a focal point to raise awareness of the importance of research to health care, and highlights how partnerships between patients and healthcare practitioners are vital to high-quality, relevant research.
On International Clincial Trials Day, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) promotes its “Ok to ask” campaign to encourage patients and the public to ask medical professionals about clinical research.
The L&D will be marking the day by supporting the ‘OK to Ask’ campaign. Information desks will be set up around the hospital (the Chiltern Restaurant and Macmillan Unit).
Please see here for more information and also visit the L&D’s Research and Development pages.
Please do come along and find out how you can get involved!
