International Clinical Trials Day provides a focal point to raise awareness of the importance of research to health care, and highlights how partnerships between patients and healthcare practitioners are vital to high-quality, relevant research.
On International Clincial Trials Day, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) promotes its “Ok to ask” campaign to encourage patients and the public to ask medical professionals about clinical research.
The L&D will be marking International Clinical Trials Day on Wednesday 20th May by supporting the ‘OK to Ask’ campaign. Information desks will be set up around the hospital (Main Reception, Macmillan Unit, Obesity Centre, St Marys Wing, Paediatrics Unit and the Restaurant Foyer).
Please do come along and find out how you can get involved!
