25th October

On Friday 13th October the 8th Annual Luton Community Awards took place, to celebrate the best of our Community. Farida Parkar, Respiratory Nurse at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital won the Healthcare Hero Award.

Farida Parkar was nominated by a group of grateful patients, whom are seen on a regular basis in outpatients or when admitted into Hospital.

We are thrilled Farida went on to win the Healthcare Hero Award sponsored by The Bartham Group. She said “I felt very humbled to be nominated and honoured to receive the award on behalf of the Respiratory team who all play a big part in the service we provide”.

Congratulations to all nominees and winners on the evening.
