The Christmas lights are on at the L&D!

7 December 2016

A big thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Tree lights switch on 1 December. It was a fantastic evening, made special by lots of different people including the Mayor of Houghton Regis Cllr Chris Slough, Peter Hollick Mayor of Dunstable, and Deputy Mayor of Luton Raja Saleem.

Hadrian Academy School Choir sang some beautiful carols and Flamstead Brownies presented the brilliant Christmas posters they had made for our patients.

A special thanks to Aisha and other children on our wards who switched on the lights.

Hospital Trust Chairman, Simon Linnett, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who came and made our Christmas Lights switch on such a success. What a lovely evening it was, packed with festive spirit.

“The tree looks lovely, and is made even more special by the fact that each light is sponsored by someone, either in memory of a loved one, or as a gift for them. The funds raised will go towards running our neonatal intensive care unit parents’ accommodation.”
