Blood tests at the L&D

The Outpatients blood test service is located on the 1st Floor of the hospital’s Outpatients Department, in zones B and C.

This service is for patients who are given a blood form from a hospital doctor or nurse.

The following patients will also be able to use the service at the hospital, if they decide to do so, even if they received their blood form from a GP.

  1. Patients under 13 years of age.
  2. Patients who require non-emergency patient transport or patients who have mobility issues which mean they rely on a wide based wheelchair or mobility scooter.
  3. Patients requiring specialised blood tests i.e. genetics testing for the Kennedy Galton Centre, booked GTTs and T-Spots.
  4. Anticoagulant patients who need to see an Anticoagulant Nurse

There is no need to book, you will take a number at the ticket machine located in the waiting areas of zone B and C, and wait for your number to be called or to appear on the screens.

The services are open Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 16:15.
